Today we live in a society, which cannot imagine life without expressing views on social media. Probably it does have certain advantages. Nevertheless, many participants of active discussions have already forgotten or do not even know about the developments, which unfolded in Armenia 5, 10 or 15 years ago.

 

To fill the gap Mediamax presents 5/10/15 project, which introduces developments in Armenia 5, 10 and 15 years ago.

 

•    10 YEARS AGO: AUGUST 12-18, 2009

 

Seat belts

 

The government of Armenia approved on August 13 the National Strategic program for road traffic security and five-year program.

 

Minister of Transport and Communications Gurgen Sargsyan informed that the number of traffic accidents in Armenia made 2202 in 2008, as a result of which 407 citizens died, and 3125 got injured.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan called on all officials without exception to use seat belts and to be an example for other drivers.

 

•    5 YEARS AGO: AUGUST 12-18, 2014

 

“Will answer to the Azerbaijani nation”

 

The Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan stated on August 12 that “Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will answer as soon as possible to the Azerbaijani nation and international just court for his bloody acts”.

“This criminal whose hands are soaked in the blood of innocent people as a result of crimes committed in Khojaly, other villages and settlements in Nagorno-Karabakh including in inhabited localities adjacent to the seven regions will answer as soon as possible to the Azerbaijani nation and the international just court,” the statement read.
