Yerevan /Mediamax/. Within command and staff exercises on the firing grounds of Kakhmud and Alagyaz, tactical exercises involving MiG-29 fighters are being held at the Erebuni Russian military air base.
Over 100 military servicemen and 30 units of special military and aviation equipment are employed in the exercises.
Within 3 days, MiG-29 fighters will practice tasks of protecting troops from the air, striking and destroying air targets imitating bomber pilots as well as cruise and ballistic missiles of the conventional enemy.
For the first time, young pilots, graduates of military higher institutions of 2014, will take part in the exercises. Fighters of the Erebuni air base hold not less than 4 night and daily pilot shifts each week.
