Yerevan /Mediamax/. U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills was introduced to the plans for the establishment of the Armenian National Defense Research University based on the U.S. model.

The delegation of the U.S. Embassy in Armenia headed by Ambassador Richard Mills was hosted by the Defense Ministry’s Institute for National and Strategic Studies today, the press service of the Defense Ministry reported.

Head of the Institute, Advisor to Armenian Defense Minister, Major General Hayk Kotanjyan presented the current phase of development of the Institute and the scientific outcomes of its activities. The guests also got acquainted with the construction works of the new building of the Armenian National Defense Research University. 

Hayk Kotanjyan presented innovative works carried out and aimed at the establishment of the National Defense Research University and highlighted the importance of research internships of the Institute scholars-analysts at the U.S. National Defense University.

In his turn, Ambassador Mills stressed the establishment of the Armenian National Defense Research University based on the U.S. model and said he believes its an intellectual platform to convey a new quantitative level to U.S.-Armenia cooperation in the defense-security sector.
