Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received today Seyyed Kazem Sajjad, the Iranian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia.
According to Defense Ministry press service, the sides discussed issues related to the bilateral cooperation and security in the region during the meeting.
Seyran Ohanyan informed the Iranian Ambassador about the agreements his Iranian colleague and him reached at the meeting on Armenian-Iranian cooperation in defense in Moscow, expressing confidence that these agreements will be brought to life soon.
By the Ambassador’s request, Seyran Ohanyan also presented the current situation in the NK conflict, as well as Azerbaijan’s aggressive steps in recent days, which aimed to provoke new military actions.
Seyyed Kazem Sajjad expressed concerns over the current situation and readiness to put all efforts into ensuring peace and stability.
Among other spheres, the Iranian Ambassador attached importance to the development of bilateral cooperation in defense.
