Yerevan /Mediamax/. The International Security Sector Advisory Team in Armenia was in Yerevan on May 3-6.

Armenian Defense Army noted that during the three-day visit the Advisory Team held discussions with a working team of the Defense Army on main approaches of security sector, as well as issues related to reforms in management, planning, martial arts and professionalism of the Armed Forces.

The members of the International Advisory Team were received today by the Armenian Defense Minister. Seyran Ohanyan attached importance to the necessity of the Advisory Team’s continuous assistance with the reforms aimed at strengthening combat effectiveness.

The Advisory Team also had a meeting at the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of Armenian National Assembly. The meeting included a discussion on issues related to introducing constitutional reforms to defense legislation and making it more conducive to development of the Armed Forces.

The Advisory Team also held a lecture at Vazgen Sargsyan Military Institute.
