Yerevan /Mediamax/. Acting Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan received today Major General John Gronski, Deputy Commanding General for Army National Guard of U.S. Army Europe, and Major General Lee Tafanelli, Adjutant General of Kansas, US.
The parties emphasized that the presence of various expert groups of U.S. Army in Armenia is a sign of active and productive cooperation.
Armenia’s collaboration with Kansas Narional Guard and U.S. Army Europe includes multiple directions: peacekeeping missions under the auspices of the UN, training of personnel for detection and defusion of improvised explosive devices for international missions, development and international certification of the field hospital providing 2nd level medical aid, forming of competent sergeant staff, joint multinational trainings, etc.
The American delegation will participate in the festivities dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s independence tomorrow.
