Yerevan /Mediamax/. The Military-Industrial Commission of Armenia, chaired by Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, approved the draft on military-industrial and military-technical strategy at the session today.

Armenian Deputy Defense Minister, Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Commission David Pakhchanian noted that the strategy is aimed at transforming scientific-technical and industrial-technical potential into an effective tool with support from the government.

The mentioned tool will facilitate ensuring competitive ability and export of production of the military industrial companies.

The draft anticipates foundation of Research Institute of the Armenian Armed Forces, which will develop tasks for research and experiments, and initial data for their realization in accordance with the army’s requirements.

David Pakhchanian said that after accepting the nation-army concept as the goal, we need to review Armenia’s education process and turn the “school-university-production-science” chain into a scientific educational complex, which will provide personnel.
