Yerevan /Mediamax/. Issues related to strengthening of bilateral multilateral military cooperation in air defense among the CIS states have been discussed in Yerevan today.

Acting Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan received Commander of the army of the Air Defense (AD) and Missile Defense (MD) Commanding, Lieutenant General Pavel Kurachenko, Secretary of Council of CIS Defense Ministers Alexander Sinayski and Chief of CSTO Joint Staff, Lieutenant General Alexander Studenikin who arrived in Armenia to take part in the 40th regular session of the Committee on Coordination of CIS Air Defense Issues, Mediamax reports.

Chief of General Headquarters of Armenian Armed Forces, Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov, First Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Davit Tonoyan, Deputy Chief of General Headquarters of Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Stepan Galstyan and head of Department of Defense Policy of Armenian Defense Ministry Levon Ayvazyan also took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, issues related to further development of joint air defense system, strengthening of bilateral and multilateral military cooperation in air defense system among CIS member states and integration and improvement of air defense in the CIS states.
