Yerevan /Mediamax/. Head of EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski said today that EU is ready to support Armenian education system.

The Ambassador said it during a meeting with Armenian Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan.

“Making investments in Armenia’s educational system has a great potential: my meetings at different levels of the education system are evidence of it. I would like to state that the average level of education in Armenia, compared to many countries, is quite high. I hope that we will indicate the most promising sectors of the educational system of Armenia, where we will find ways to enhance cooperation”, said Piotr Switalski.

Levon Mkrtchyan stated that the Ministry is taking serious steps towards the processes of transformation of the university system, and in this regard, the Minister expects the EU support.

The parties discussed EU budgetary support program on planned vocational system –“Better qualification for better jobs”, aimed at the development and strengthening of agricultural education institutions.
