Yerevan. Kenneth Roth, Director of Human Rights Watch international human rights organization, said that "the Kessab attacks started from the Turkish soil”.

He said this talking to Turkish Hurriyet Daily News calling the attack “a significant military operation”.

He noted that Human Rights Watch still investigates Kessab events and hasn’t published anything yet.

“It is clear that the operation took place was launched from Turkish soil. We are not yet in a position to say how exactly. There have been various allegations, but we do not have enough evidence yet on how operation was conducted”, said Director of Human Rights Watch.

Kenneth Roth called the Syrian government the biggest violator of  human rights and the Syrian President’s war strategy considered one of “the war crimes”.

Touching upon atrocities of the armed opposition, head of Human Rights Watch said that  “we don’t argue those have been as systematic as the government's. But we have documented massacres by some of the armed opposition”.

“Strict precautions are needed, so that there is no external support for that kind of atrocity”, added Kenneth Roth.
