Yerevan /Mediamax/. Foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier stated in Yerevan today that "irrespective of all the crises, Europe doesn’t forget the Eastern partners”.

“Despite Ukraine crisis, Europe doesn’t spare efforts to develop relations with other Eastern partners. We shouldn’t forget them. Eastern partners are still important for us”, said Frank Walter-Steinmeier addressing a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan.

According to him, it is important that “good relations among countries survive even after the crises”.

The Minister said that Germany respects all the decisions that Armenia makes including that of joining the Eurasian Economic Union.

“It is good that Armenia doesn’t consider its membership to this structure as a hurdle against developing a dialogue with the EU”, said the German FM.
