Yerevan/Mediamax/. Foreign Minister of Lithuania Linas Linkevicius refuted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statement on that NATO expansion might be compared to a new Berlin Wall.
The Lithuanian FM stressed the countries are free to choose alliances and Europe, as distinct from Russia, respects it, Delfi reports.
“Say, Armenia has changed its approach and has decided to opt for the Customs Union, and not the EU. We have not sent our army there and there were no “green little men”. We communicate with Armenia and in a respectful manner”, said Linas Linkevicius.
It should be noted that this spring representatives of Russian troops in the Crimea were deemed as “green little men” and “polite people”.
