Nalbandian and Nuland discuss Armenia-U.S. agenda

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian today reconfirmed his invitation to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to visit Armenia.

The Minister said this during his meeting with U.S. Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland.

 

The sides stated that U.S.-Armenia bilateral collaboration involves key areas such as international and regional security issues, peacekeeping actions, nonproliferation of weapon of mass destruction and fighting against terrorism.

 

The U.S. Assistant Secretary expressed gratitude for Armenia’s active involvement in peacekeeping actions.

 

“Victoria Nuland highlighted Armenia’s positive achievements in democracy, civil society, economic reforms and a number of other spheres”, the press release of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reads.

 

In the context of negotiations process of NK conflict, Edward Nalbandian and Victoria Nuland were unanimous that all the possible efforts should be taken to settle the conflict in a solely peaceful way based on the international law - non-use of force, territorial integrity and people’s right of self-determination.
