Yerevan /Mediamax/. Official Yerevan urges OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and Personal Representative of OSCE Chairperson-in-Office to pay attention to the Baku’s steps toward violation of ceasefire and military balance.

Armenia’s Permanent Representative, Ambassador Arman Kirakosyan said tat the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council.

He has reminded about the Azerbaijani armed forces’ subversive action in the northern section of the contact line on March 19 which caused 4 casualties from the Armenian side.

The Ambassador has stressed that as a result of the counterattack from the NKR Defense Army, the rival suffered numerous casualties which the Azerbaijani side tries to conceal officially prohibiting journalists and civil society representatives to visit border settlements.

Arman Kirakosyan has highlighted that it was the first time that Azerbaijan used large artillery of 120mm caliber which displays Baku’s intention to go on pursuing the path of armed confrontation. 

“This way, Azerbaijan strives to disrupt the trilateral agreement on 1994 ceasefire and break the military balance”, said the Ambassador.

He recalled that ethnic cleansings of Armenian population in the NK territories under Azerbaijani control are being carried out.  In this context, Armen Kirakosyan stated that Azerbaijan tries to restart the armed conflict to suppress the right of self-determination of NK people.
