Yerevan. Mediamax. U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew said today that the visit of numerous delegations to Yerevan shows that the Armenian Genocide is not solely a national tragedy but a crime against the whole humanity.
He said this in Yerevan during his meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
Edward Nalbandian thanked the U.S. for co-authoring the Genocide Prevention Resolution initiated by Armenia at the UN Human Rights Council in March.
Jacob Lew said he “was honored to represent the U.S. President and American people in Armenia on April 24”.
The U.S. Presidential Delegation also comprises representatives of U.S. House of Representatives, congressmen Frank Pallone, Anna Eshoo, Jackie Speier and David Troth.
