Yerevan /Mediamax/. Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian said today that the Yerevan meeting of Foreign Ministers of CSTO member states focused on the CSTO collective security strategy for the period until 2025.

“Armenia assumed CSTO chairmanship last September, and will host a session of the Collective Security Council this October, therefore, we discussed today preparations for the summit of the heads of CSTO member states, and certain draft documents to be submitted for their approval,” said Armenian Foreign Minister.

“Armenia has been constantly active and initiative in improving collaboration within the organization, intensifying its role on global arena, deepening cooperation between member states, and developing juxtaposition mechanisms of foreign policies. We all agree that improvement of the organization’s cooperation mechanisms depends first and foremost on full implementation of duties, conditioned by membership in CSTO, by the members states,” stated Edward Nalbandian.

During the meeting of CSTO Foreign Ministers, statements on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement and Syrian crisis were adopted.
