Yerevan /Mediamax/. Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini on the margins framework of the UN General Assembly.
Federica Mogherini stressed that the EU will continue supporting the reforms in Armenia.
She welcomed the agreement that the authorities and political opposition of Armenia reached upon the new Electoral Code, noting that it was a significant step ahead of the parliamentary elections that will be held next year.
The parties expressed their appreciation for the negotiations on EU-Armenia Framework Agreement, which took place on September 19 in Brussels.
The parties also attached importance to the next stage of negotiations, which is to be held in October in Yerevan, aiming to complete the process in the nearest future.
Edward Nalbandian presented the latest development in the NK issue, stressing that up to this day Azerbaijan refuses to realize the agreements reached at the summits in Vienna and St. Petersburg.
