Yerevan /Mediamax/. Head of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies Manvel Sargsyan said today that the statement of Russian FM, “Turkey can play a positive part in the NK issue settlement”, contains certain risks.
“With this statement Sergey Lavrov accepts Turkey’s stance that the NK confluct should be settled by the preconditions frequently voiced by Turkey,” the political scientist said.
Manvel Sargsyan stated that this is an attempt to reinforce Turkey’s positions in the NK issue.
“It is possible that there’s a tendency of hindering normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations as much as possible,” he said.
Head of Modus Vivendi Ara Papian also expressed his opinion, saying, “Russia is trying to settle relations with Turkey at our expense”.
“This statement is political cajoling,” he said.
