Yerevan /Mediamax/. Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said that "the new parliament and government will be built on significant public support and trust, which will help finalize the Velvet Revolution”.

Nikol Pashinyan said this at the meeting with ambassadors of European countries to Armenia on November 13, led by Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski.

Armenia’s acting PM noted that the development of relations with the European Union is among priorities of Armenian foreign politics. He attached importance to EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which provides efficient mechanisms for development of bilateral partnership and reforms.

He said that the road map of implmentation of the agreement has already been elaborated by the interdepartmental commission and sent for EU discussions.

“I would like to express my gratitude for the EU support in organizing the elections. Your aid will enhance the available capacities to provide more efficient reforms. It isn’t a coincidence that as we register significant progress in strengthening democracy our society expects greater support from our European partners,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

According to the press service of the Armenian government, Piotr Switalski emphasized the fact of ongoing positive changes in Armenia, expressing conviction that the process will help register new results for the people of Armenia.

“We expect to see the best elections in the history of the Republic of Armenia,” Piotr Switalski said.
