Yerevan/Mediamax/. Head of EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski believes that the newly elected Armenian National Assembly has all chances to establish real parliamentarism in Armenia.
According to the Armenian government’s press service, Ambassador Switalski made that remark at the meeting with President of the Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan.
On behalf of the EU Delegation, Piotr Switalski expressed readiness to actively cooperate with the Armenian National Assembly in development of its institutional capacity, based on the parliament’s assessment of the needs.
Ararat Mirzoyan in his turn reiterated the new parliament’s commitment to implementation of ongoing initiatives and planned programs.
He added that the Armenian side places high value on launching the talks with EU on visa facilitation.
“I believe it will be another notable achievement, which would take the Armenia-EU relations to a new level,” said Mirzoyan.
