Yerevan /Mediamax/. Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian said that Baku’s adventurism in April caused significant damage to the negotiations on the NK issue.

He made this statement while delivering a speech at Berkeley University of California on September 27.

“Grossly violating the Ceasefire Agreements of 1994-1995 this April, Azerbaijn unleashed a pre-planned large-scale attack on Artsakh, using air force, heavy artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and tanks. The attack was accompanied by violations of the international humanitarian law. This display of Baku’s adventurism caused significant damage to the process of peaceful settlement,” Edward Nalbandian said.

“The Co-Chairs and I work together to overcome the consequences of Azerbaijan’s aggression. This requires restoration of trust towards the peaceful settlement process, which we see in creation of conditions for prevention of use of force and advance of the peaceful settlement. This was the main goal of the Vienna meeting in May and the St. Petersburg meeting in June. First and foremost, it is imperative to implement the agreements reached at these meetings, which are first, full implementation of the trilateral Ceasefire Agreements of unlimited duration, signed in 1994-1995, creation of an incident investigation mechanism for ceasefire violations second, and third, enlargement of the staff of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office,” Nalbandian stressed.
