Yerevan /Mediamax/. Leaders of The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states issued a statement on NK conflict on October 14, Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed today.

With the statement the CSTO member sates leaders expressed their support for the agreements reached at the summits in Vienna, May 16 and St. Petersburg, June 20, regarding NK issue, “aimed at prevention of escalation on the Line of Contact, stabilization of the situation and creation of conditions for reching peaceful settlement process”. 

“Stating the necessity of exclusively peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh issue, we express our support to efforts of OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, aimed at settlement of the conflict, in accordance with norms of international law, UN Charter and principles of Helsinki Final Act, particularly, those regarding threat or use of force, territorial integrity of states, equal rights of people and right of self-determination,” the statement reads.
