Yerevan/Mediamax/. The meeting between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will be held in Vienna on March 29, a diplomatic source from the Austrian capital told Interfax.

“The meeting will be held in Vienna on March 29 through intermediary of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs,” the source said.

It will be the first official meeting of the two leaders under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

Previously, Pashinyan and Aliyev had three unofficial meetings, the latest taking place in Davos on January 22, 2019.

The first meeting was held in September of 2018 within the frames of the meeting of heads of CIS states in Dushanbe. At that time Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev agreed to install a direct communication line and reduce the tensions on the Line of Contact between Azerbaijan and Artsakh.

The two leaders also had a brief conversation in St. Petersburg on December 6, 2018.

“We talked about exchange of prisoners. Unfortunately, we did not reach an agreement, but the negotiations will go on. As you know, Azerbaijan suggested “all in exchange for all” principle, but we have a problem with that. We must speak with the Artsakh authorities as well,” Pashinyan later commented on the content of that conversation.
