Armenian government’s new program approved

Yerevan /Mediamax/. The new program of the Armenian government was approved at the special session today.

Armenian Vice-Prime Minister, Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan said the new program was worked out on the basis of the basic provisions of the Armenian government’s program for 2013, Armenia’s National Security Strategy, Armenian President, RPA election program as well as the ideas compatible with the mentioned documents presented in the programs of the parliamentary parties.

 

“As against the developed countries, the implementation of this program within 2014-2017 aims to ensure progressive rates of economic growth through mid-term 5% growth in GDP, gradual increase of up to AMD 65.000 in minimum wage and poverty reduction by 10 percentage points”, said the Vice Prime Minister.

 

The main parts of the program refer to creating salaries ensuring fair remunerations, in which the business and investment environment plays a vital and significant role; special attention will be paid to agriculture and villages, development policy of small and medium-sized enterprises, better support for information technologies, tourism and a number of other areas.

 

The Armenian government’s program will be presented to the National Assembly in the set order.
