Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said today that the Azerbaijani authorities subordinated their soldiers’ lives to internal domestic interests.

“The more Azerbaijan’s persecutions and intimidation of dissidents and civil society representatives aggravate, the more Azerbaijan tries to divert the international community’s attention exacerbating the situation on the contact line which entails  casualties, mostly from the Azerbaijani side. Unfortunately, Baku’s authorities subordinate human lives to the internal political interests and they consider their soldiers as ones from virtual games sending hundreds of young people to death on a daily basis”, said Edward Nalbandian at a press conference summing up 2014 diplomatic year.

According to him, in this context, the Azerbaijani leadership’s adequacy and ability to assess the situation reasonably is open to question.

Edward Nalbandian also said that the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports on all the Azerbaijani provocations to the CSTO, OSCE and other international structures.
