Yerevan/Mediamax/. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan brusquely criticized leader of Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Gagik Tsarukyan and signed a decree on his exclusion from the National Security Council.

The Armenian President criticized Tsarukyan at the session of the Council of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) in the evening of January 12.

Commenting on Tsarukyan’s recent statement at the meeting of the political forces, Serzh Sargsyan said that “having been in power for many years, Gagik Tsarukyan started declaring himself an alternative by considering himself a savior for no apparent reason”.

“It means, not only is he unaware of what a state, society, sociology and policy are, but confuses life with a circus. But we cannot turn our motherland to a circus", stated the President.

“We should eradicate the feudal logic from our political field once and for all. We will greatly harm our country, economy and people by “half measures””, said Serzh Sargsyan.

“Political player Gagik Tsarukyan has become an evil for our country. And it’s natural. A person who holds all relevant mechanisms to participate in political processes but has low intellectual capacities, automatically hinders any development”, stressed the President. He also called the fact of Gagik Tsarukyan’s high political ambitions “a tragedy” and “a farce”.

“Can you imagine a situation in which Tsarukyan is reading a text at the PACE followed by questions of MPs, including from Turkey and Azerbaijan?” said Sargsyan.

The President also spoke about the measures that will be taken towards the PAP leader.

Serzh Sargsyan already signed a decree on Gagik Tsarukyan’s exclusion from the National Security Council. “This body is not a cinema where you can enter at your own will”, noted the President.

The President also said that over 2013-2014, the Armenian parliament held 145 meetings, while Gagik Tsarukyan attended only four of them. Serzh Sargsyan made it clear that the members of RPA faction may start the process of revocation of Tsarukyan's parliamentary powers ''for his neglectful attitude to the voters and role of the National Assembly”.

Serzh Sargsyan also assigned the Prime Minister of Armenia to check ''the information on Tsarukyan's unpaid taxes of billions of drams which has been ''floating in the air'' for years”.
