Yerevan /Mediamax/. The delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe will monitor the upcoming elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan on May14.
The ten-member delegation, headed by Liisa Ansala (Finland), will have meetings with President of the Central Election Commission of Armenia Tigran Mukuchyan, representatives of the diplomatic corps, NGOs and the media on May 12 and 13.
On May 13, the delegation participants will hold discussions with the candidates to the Council of Elders of Yerevan.
On Election Day, four CoE Congress’ teams will be deployed to different areas of the Capital City.
The Electoral Assessment Mission will be followed by an Information Report to be discussed in the framework of the 33st Congress Session, to be held in October.
