Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian said that globalization isn’t finished yet, it will continue and accelerate.

“It didn’t start today or even decades ago; it started thousands of years ago, before the Silk Road and even earlier,” Armen Sarkissian said within the frames of the 16th Eurasian Media Forum in Almaty. 

Touching upon the issue of whether social media can replace traditional media or not, he noted: “The one isn’t going to replace another; they are going to be united instead”. 

The Armenian President noted that Armenia can become a cooperation bridge between Eurasia and the European Union. 

“Armenia has an advantage, and the international community should try to use that advantage. Armenia is the only country, which has developed deep relations with the European Union, Russia and Eurasia at the same time. Therefore, let’s use the opportunities that Armenia can offer as a bridge,” Armen Sarkissian said.
