Yerevan/Mediamax/. President of the Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia Gagik Harutyunyan has submitted his resignation letter, head of the information and PR department of the council Arman Khachatryan announced on his Facebook page.
“Given current developments concerning the judiciary and judges as well as the concerns I expressed in this regard on May 20, I no longer find it reasonable to continue serving as member and President of the Supreme Judicial Council,” Gagik Harutyunyan said in the letter.
He added he was certain that change would provide him time for more active cooperation with foreign partners.
