Yerevan/Mediamax/. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has stated today that "freedom of religion is among key human rights, because through faith in God people believe in themselves too”.

“Therefore, the freedom of religion, the freedom to believe in God is the freedom to believe in yourself, in my opinion. Of course, there are people who do it without believing in God, but even so, the person plays the key part in the process of gaining the faith. This is very important,” Pashinyan said at the opening of the conference dedicated to main issues of freedom of religion and faith in Armenia, Georgia and worldwide.

The Prime Minister has said he believes that ethnic and religious minorities in Armenia feel like full-fledged members of the society now.

“It is a matter of principle for us to secure that feeling and the opportunities to preserve and develop their national identity, and be proud of who they are, for all ethnic minorities in Armenia,” added Pashinyan.
