Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said that the axis of NK peace process is the right of Artsakh people to decide their own fate through free expression of will.
The President stated it receiving EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Herbert Salber in Yerevan on October 16.
The interlocutors touched upon the latest developments in the negotiation process with regard to Sargsyan-Aliyev meetings in Sochi and Newport, and the tension that emerged as a result of ceasefire violations on the Armenian border and Artsakh contact line in summer.
Serzh Sargsyan and Herbert Salber said they are convinced the only possible NK peace process format is the OSCE Minsk Group. Herbert Salber reaffirmed EU’s readiness to continue supporting high-level negotiations and all practical steps that might occur in the peace process and contribute to the conflict settlement.
