Yerevan/Mediamax/. Hero of Karabakh war, Major-General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan (Commandos) said today that the Armenian side should "start preventive attacks” against Azerbaijan to neutralize the permanent tension on the contact line initiated by Baku.

“I don’t call for restarting military actions at all. As a military specialist, I suggest considered and targeted attacks to achieve high-altitude positions on the contact line. If we don’t do that, the Azerbaijani side will always aggravate the situation on the contact line”, said Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan.

According to Commandos, by initiating subversive operations Azerbaijan tries to keep the Armenian society in tension while in reality, the rival’s armed forces are not ready for military actions which is evidenced by the recent incidents.

“As a military, I don’t think it right to sit and wait when Azerbaijan will start the next subversive action. We should take preventive measures. Our current equipment and awareness of the location allow us to do that”, he said.
