Yerevan /Mediamax/. At the session of the State Commission on Coordination of Events dedicated to Armenian Genocide Centennial, the adoption of All-Armenian Declaration on the Armenian Genocide Centennial was being considered.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan noted that all the state structures of Armenia, the Holy See and major structures of Diaspora worked over and approved of the Declaration.
“We were much accused of not knowing what we demand from the world and Turkey in terms of the Armenian Genocide. Do we expect political recognitions by various states? What expectations do we have from Turkey? What do we want and what is the basis for our fight? What are we heading for and what is our message to the younger generations?
I think we eventually worked out a solid and comprehensive text which will become the ideological basis for the events dedicated to the Centennial and the guideline for our further actions”, said Serzh Sargsyan.
After the adoption by the Commission, the Declaration will be published in 7 languages including Western Armenian.
