Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Armenian Genocide Reparations Study Group (AGRSG) issued its final report entitled “Resolution with Justice – Reparations for the Armenian Genocide.”

The report offers a comprehensive analysis of the legal, historical, political, and ethical dimensions of the question of reparations for the Armenian Genocide, which includes a plan for a productive reparative process and proposes a concrete reparations package.

The AGRSG was formed in 2007. Professor at Worcester State University Henry Theriault is the chair of the group. AGRSG members are popular expert in the field of human rights and international law Alfred de Zayas, expert on long-term justice and transitional justice Jermaine O. McCalpin and head of the Modus Vivendi Center Ara Papian.

The report represents a decisive step toward a much broader and all-embracing process of repair that is adequate to resolve the extensive outstanding damages of the Genocide.

U.S. Ambassador to Armenia in 2004-2006 John Evans also commented on the preliminary report. During his public presentation for the representatives of the Armenian community at the University of California, Berkeley, 2005, Evans called the 1915 events Genocide.
