I seem to be “Munchausen” to some people, Ruben Vardanyan jokes

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Businessman and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan has admitted that it sometimes takes quite long for people in Armenia to understand the core of his programs.

“They treat me well but sometimes I appear like Munchausen to them. Armenians are very realistic people – they were long trying to understand why I was constructing an aerial tramway in Tatev and why I was building an international school in Dilijan,” he said.

Ruben Vardanyan stated it during a video conference on April 19 with Russian bloggers, who had arrived in Armenia at the invitation of the “100 LIVES” initiative, and their Armenian collegues. Other than Yerevan, they paid a visit to Tatev, Goris, Sevan and Dilijan.

During the video conferencr, the Russian bloggers said they were impressed by Armenia so much that they did not want to leave. Ruben Vardanyan joked saying he can employ them as there is much to do in Armenia.

He promised to soon invite them all to Artsakh where an eco-village will be established.

“Just take into account there will be no Wi-Fi there, so you will “isolate” yourselves in the nature,” he added smiling.

Ruben Vardanyan told the representatives of the blogosphere about IDeA Foundation’s programs in Tatev, Dilijan, Artsakh and Goris.

“All our programs aim to bring Armenia on the world map and to make it interesting for Armenians in Armenia, Diaspora Armenians and foreigners. The hardest part is to convince people that such programs can serve as an incentive and really change the situation in the country,” he said.
