Yerevan. Mediamax. 100 LIVES project implemented by Initiatives for Development of Armenia (IDeA) Foundation transferred USD100 thousand to the UNICEF to help children affected by the major earthquake in Nepal.

The sum was donated within “Armenia to Nepal” humanitarian campaign which calls upon the Armenian organizations to join the initiative to support UNICEF’s efforts to help the children in Nepal.

“The devastating earthquake in Nepal has considerably damaged the country rich in history. We express our condolence to all those who were hit by the disaster. 100 LIVES was initiated as a humanitarian project and we can’t neglect people’s suffering. It is in such cases that the best human traits are demonstrated, and I call upon all the Armenians in the world to join the initiative and support the people affected by the disaster”, said Co-Founder of IDeA Foundation and 100 LIVES Ruben Vardanyan.

“Our people is well aware of the sorrow of such disasters and knows how to appreciate the helping hand. We have always been thankful for all those who helped us during the devastating earthquake in 1988. The whole world is aiding the Nepalese people and we can’t but take part in it, which is why we decided to transfer money to the UNICEF which helps children hit by the earthquake”, CEO of IDeA Foundation Armen Gevorgyan noted in his turn.
