Yerevan, June 18. /Mediamax/. Presentation of 20 computer games, which have entered the finale of the first Armenian Open Championship for Computer Game Design, is taking place in Orange Armenia head office today.

Mediamax reports that both ready applications and projects of games with scenarios and characters, have entered the finale.

X-TECH Company presented “Kargin” educational and developing games, which have already been put to sale, at the championship. “Stone Country” team also presents an educational game. The game teaches geography of historical and modern Armenia.

Participant of the finale, Harutyun Amirkhanyan, with the use of the existing software platforms, has designed “Mega Arm Pes” football simulator, which includes the teams of Armenia’s championship. The game can also be downloaded free of charge from www.armpes.com website.

A variation to the famous “Mario” game called “Vaspurik” is also presented at the championship. It has been created for smartphones on Android operational system.

Ruzanna Asryan, participant of the championship, who has graduated from Yerevan State Academy of Arts, presents a scenario and characters of “David of Sasun” historical adventure game. Ruzanna Asryan notes that by participating in the championship she will try to find a sponsor to create the game.

The winner awarding ceremony will take place at 18:00 today.

The prize fund of the championship will make AMD 1.3mln, AMD 300 thousand AMD of which will go to the author of the game, which is recognized the best, and the remaining sum will be distributed among winners of the following six nominations: best scenario, character, design, animation, innovation and best game for cell phones and other mobile devices.
