Yerevan /Mediamax/. Businessman and philanthropist, co-founder of IDeA Foundation Ruben Vardanyan has said that it’s extremely important to be more risk-taking, open-minded and believe in bright future.

Ruben Vardanyan said this during his interview within OneArmenia’s project.

“The main goal is to change the mentality of the people who is living here or not living here but feeling them Armenian. The first goal is to change our attitude from survival to prosperity. It is very critical to be more risk-taking, open-minded and to believe in our bright future.  Secondly, I want to show that everything is possible and people, who believe that despite of all the problems they are facing on different levels, you can change your life and life around you. Nothing can stop you if you believe in your bright idea and vision”, said Ruben Vardanyan.

Speaking about the Armenian Diaspora, he noted that sometimes investments are made without figuring out if they would change something or not: they just do charity or give money.

“This creates a wrong attitude of waiting that the money will come again. Diaspora needs to make smart investments”, said Ruben Vardanyan.

Besides, the IDeA co-founder recommended future entrepreneurs to be ready to fail.

“There is always a risk, when you immigrate from one place to other or take up something new. Often people use reasons to say, to convince themselves why it is impossible to do something. Unfortunately, most of the people do not want to take risks and just want to find arguments why they are not doing anything. I think, it is not only an Armenian behavior, it is a worldwide attitude”, the businessman said.

“How to be successful? You should understand your strengths and weaknesses, to get right time and right resources. Be consistent and patient, because it will require a lot of efforts and pain you need to suffer just because you have a dream. First of all, you need to have a dream and understand how your dream can be realized. Then you need people who trust and will follow you”, concluded Ruben Vardanyan.
