Armenian PM advises Ministers to be “maximally attentive”

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan addressed the Ministers at the Government session today, advising them to "be maximally attentive” and to prepare for the upcoming discussions on state budget at the Armenian National Assembly.

“I consider it important that the reports on your respective spheres aree more corresponding with programme budgeting and come from the points of the Government program. In particular, it is necessary to present the approaches and principles, which serve as a base for your ministries’ budgets, in a way comprehensible for both the MPs and the public,” Karen Karapetyan said.

 

Prime Minister stressed that the provided financing should be presented on the basis of qualitative and quantative results of the implemented projects and indicators, so that it is possible to form an understanding of their purpose and necessity.

 

Prime Minister also gave instructions relating environment protection and consumption of natural resources.

 

“I instruct the Ministers of Nature Protection, Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources to present their suggestions regarding current state of water use permits and licences for small hydroelectric power plants to the National Water Council within 15 days, cooperating with the Public Services Regulatory Commission,” Karen Karapetyan said.

 

Prime Minister also instructed to review the development outline for small hydroelectric power plants, as well as study the suitability of applying new mechanisms in construction of new plants and pricing of small plants, operated for 20 years.

 

Regarding consumption of natural resources, Karen Karapetyan advised to erase the artificial obstacles for investments in the industry, taking as a base the respective international experience.
