Yerevan /Mediamax/. At the meeting with representatives of international donor organizations today Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan said that the government is interested in increasing efficiency of cooperation.

“First, we initiated optimization of programmes implementation units, PIUs. We already dissolved 5 of those, and now we begin the next stage of optimization. We want to negotiate on this topic and explain our goal - to increase our work efficiency and decrease the fixed expenses.

Second, our foreign debt is rather large, and we want to discuss with you and establish the priorities, the rules of the game that we’ll face with loans, and make our choice on which loan programs we consider a priority and which programs we fund.

Third, in coming days we’ll create a Center for strategic initiatives or in other words, a Center for reforms, where we anticipate cooperation with the powers most interested, including the private sector, and discuss where we go and where we take our country,” Karen Karapetyan said.
