European writers in Armenia within “Literary Ark: 10 Years Later” program

Yerevan/Mediamax/. “Literary Ark: 10 Years Later” project started in Yerevan and European writers arrived in Yerevan for participation.

Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan said today that the guests will travel around the country during 10 days. They will visit cultural and historical sites, meet with Armenian writers and consequently write about their impressions the genre they prefer, Mediamax reports.

 

In the future, the works of the European writers will be translated into Armenian and published as collected works devoted to Armenia.

 

It is also planned to launch a site for “Literary Ark” project.

 

The following people participate in the project:

 

Herbert Maurer (Austria), Geert van Istendael and Filip Van Zandycke (Belgium), Peeter Sauter and Vahur Afanasjev (Estonia), Serge Venturini (France), Christiane Lange and Swantje Lichtenstein (Germany), David Magradze (Georgia), Arlette van Laar and Serge van Duijnhoven (Holland), Claudio Pozzani (Italy), Leo Butnaru (Moldova), Jacek Pacocha (Poland), Bejan Matur (Turkey).
