Yerevan/Mediamax/. Mediamax and ArmRosGazprom presented 2 films with participation of lead singer of Deep Purple Ian Gillan in Yerevan today.
The DVD-disc released today with the sponsor support of ArmRosGazprom is the Armenian version of the Polish “Chopin’s Story by Ian Gillan from Deep Purple” film and Mediamax’s “Pictures of Home” film presenting the spiritual bonds of Ian Gillan with Armenia.
“Chopin’s Story by Ian Gillan from Deep Purple” film shot in 2011 already has 4 international awards including award in “Best Documentary” nomination in the film festival in Brazilian Florianopolis city.
The film narrates about Frederic Chopin’s path to glory. Ian Gillan invites us to travel around the roads of Poland where Chopin spent his early childhood.
“Pictures of Home” is based on the filming of the rock star’s visit to Armenia within Armenia Grateful 2 Rock project in October 2009 and Ian Gillan’s interview recorded after the charity concerts of Deep Purple lead singer with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra in March 2010. Ian Gillan speaks about his attitude to religion, God, culture and reveals himself as a man having deep and philosophical view on existential matters.
“ArmRosGazprom” which also sponsored Armenia Grateful 2 Rock project was the general sponsor of “Pictures of Home” film.
The disc is not for sale. Mediamax and ArmRosGazprom will hand over the free copies of the DVD to all the music schools of Armenia.
