Yerevan is preparing to Aurora Prize ceremony on April 24. You too probably noticed the posters with “Courage, Commitment, Impact” slogan in different parts of Yerevan. Mediamax walked around the centre of the city and asked Yerevan citizens what they know about this award.

Aurora is an award for charity. Although I don’t know many details, I know that Clooney will come to Armenia. Plenty of people outside Armenia know absolutely nothing about our country and the Armenian Genocide. I believe that this is a wonderful opportunity to once again introduce the world to us.

It’s a Prize that gathered many famous figures. They want to make it annual, which is very good. This award encourages people to be kinder, and that is the most important thing.

I noticed the posters a lot in the city. The more facts people learn about our country and history, the better. Aurora Prize Finalists fight against genocide, once again raising the issue of Armenian Genocide in this framework. I believe that is what matters the most.

The Prize was founded with humanitarian goals and appreciates persons who spare no efforts to save different people around the world. I know that there are four Finalists, but unfortunately, I don’t remember their names. I remember the slogan very well, I keep seeing it on the posters. George Clooney is a member of Selection Committee, and the ceremony will be on April 24 in Yerevan, I think, in Sports and Concert Complex. This Prize is important not only for Armenia but for the whole world, because its goal is humanity.

I cannot say in detail at this moment of what the goal of the Prize is, but I know it is about humanity. I also know that children from Tumo Center worked at the design of Aurora Prize.
