• Mediamax launched www.Adver.am project – a unified platform for selling advertisement on the company’s web portals.

• Mediamax promoted Deep Purple’s lead singer Ian Gillan’s concerts with the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra.

• Mediamax and Shant TV co-produced a TV-show “Ian Gillan – Special Guest of Hay Superstar”.

• Mediamax presented “Pictures of Home” – a documentary about Ian Gillan.

October

• Mediamax Director Ara Tadevosyan attended the recording of a new song at Sarm Studios in London within the charity project Rock Aid Armenia/Armenia Grateful 2 Rock that Mediamax implements with the Australian Do Something non-for profit organization. Ian Gillan (Deep Purple), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell), Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden) and Jon Lord (ex-Deep Purple) recorded a song called “Out Of My Mind”.

• Mediamax Director Ara Tadevosyan attended the ceremony of awarding Queen’s guitarist Brian May with the Armenian Order of Honor at the Armenian Embassy in London. Brian May was awarded within the Armenia Grateful 2 Rock project, implemented by Mediamax in 2009.

Auto.am and Bravo.am won prizes at the 5th All-Armenian e-Content 2010 Contest. Bravo.am received the Grand Prize of e-Content 2010 Contest, and was recognized as the best in “E-Entertainment” category. Auto.am received the 1st award of e-Content 2010 Contest and was recognized the best in “E-Business” category.

• Mediamax launched Capitalmarket.am internet project, covering Armenian securities market.

• Mediamax launched Itel.am internet portal, covering the spheres of telecommunications, internet, information technologies and innovations in Armenia.

• Mediamax signed a cooperation memorandum with “Ayb” Educational Foundation.

• Mediamax conducted realized “I Overcome the Crisis” competition among student essays.

• Mediamax signed cooperation agreement with Russian “Prognoz” IT Company.

• Mediamax team climbed Mount Ararat.

March

• Mediamax Agency announced launch of a mobile service to inform on the results of leading European football cups by means of SMS messages. The service is provided in partnership with “Football365” weekly.

• Mediamax launched updated version of Banks.am internet portal (Financial Armenia).

Year 2007

April

• Mediamax Agency launched a special internet project: www.elections2007.am, the visitors of which were provided operative information on the main events during the pre-election campaign, on the day of election and the following days. The internet project provided in free access mode all the news of the agency, concerning parliamentary election in three languages: Armenian, English and Russian.

June

• Mediamax Agency announced its entry to the market of mobile content in technical partnership with Mobbis Company. “Services in the sphere of mobile content are the constituent part of the policy on expanding Mediamax’s information presence in various segments of the market: traditional media, internet, mobile networks”, Director of the Agency Ara Tadevosyan stated.

July

• Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Tigran Sargsian congratulated Mediamax Agency on the first anniversary of Banks.am internet portal. “I believe that this year contributed to the making of the portal, it became a source, due to which the society receives information on the services of financial-credit organizations, and the specialists in the sphere discuss urgent problems of the banking system. I congratulate you and wish your portal to fulfill its mission on increasing the level of financial awareness of the Armenian society”, Tigran Sargsian stated.

• Mediamax Agency and Armenian Stock Exchange (Armex) presented a joint project - “Exchange quotations in a cell phone”, allowing with the use of a cell phone watching in on-line mode currency trades on Exchange and formation of the average weighted exchange rate, as well as receiving information on the cost of securities and yield of bonds. The project was supported by the Central Bank of Armenia and the new owner of Armex – Swedish OMX Exchange Operator.

• “Electric Networks of Armenia” Company (ENA) awarded Mediamax a prize for “Consistent coverage of “ENA” CJSC activity”.

November

• Mediamax announced the launch of a special product: www.elections2008.am to cover the preparation to and realization of presidential election in Armenia. The project presented in free access mode all the news of the agency, related to presidential elections of February 19, 2008, in Armenian, English and Russian languages.

• Mediamax Agency team became the winner of mini-football tournament among 7 teams, consisting of representatives of Armenian media.

Year 2006

March

• Mediamax became the first media outlet, given interview by the new Special Representative of the European Union in the South Caucasus Peter Semneby.

June

• By the order of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Armenia, Mediamax issued a booklet for participants of the Representative Meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), which took place in Yerevan on June 17-18, 2006.

July

• Mediamax launched a new internet project – Banks.am (Financial Armenia) web portal. The main goal of the project was to set up interactive space for providing full-scale information on Armenian market of financial services, which had entered the phase of rapid growth.

September

• Armenian President Robert Kocharian signed a decree on awarding Director of Mediamax Agency Ara Tadevosyan “Movses Khorenatsi” medal, in connection with the 15th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.

• Banks.am internet portal (Financial Armenia) received the First Prize of the Second Pan-Armenian E-Content-2006 Contest.

• Mediamax initiated issue of monthly appendix to “Aravot” newspaper: “Armenia: Security Debates”.

Year 2005

July

• Mediamax presented “Who is who in Armenia-2005” book in Yerevan. The book presents biographies of 180 influential people of Armenia - public-political figures, businessmen, media representatives. A book of the kind is for the first time published in Armenia.

November

• Director of Mediamax Agency Ara Tadevosyan becomes the only representative from Armenia, receiving an invitation to become a member of the workgroup, set up by German Marshall Fund of the United States (www.gmfus.org) to discuss political recommendations for the Wider Black Sea Region.

December

• Founders of Mediamax set up “Armenian Center for Transatlantic Initiatives” NGO, the basic goal of which is elaboration and implementation of programs, aiming at Armenia’s rapprochement with the Euro-Atlantic community.

Year 2004

March

• “Mediamax Running Newsline” is installed on the façade of the building, located in the crossroad of Baghramyan Avenue and Moskovyan Street in the center of Yerevan. It informs the residents of the capital city on most important events real time.

Year 2003

March

• Mediamax relocates to its new office in the downtown Yerevan.

August

• Cooperation agreement signed with Armenian Development Agency (ADA), under which Mediamax prepares ADA’s “Forum” business magazine.

September

• First issue of the new product - “South Caucasus Weekly Review: Defense, Security and Conflicts Resolution”.

November

• Auto.am internet project launched.

December

• Mediamax wins the tender for publishing “European Commission Newsletter” in Armenian and English languages in Armenia.

• Mediamax team becomes the winner of mini-football tournament, held among teams from Armenian media. 14 teams participated in the tournament.

Year 2002

April

• Agreement on cooperation signed with Turkish Anatolian News Agency (Anadolu Ajansi). Mediamax is the only Armenian agency, officially providing information to Turkish media.

December

• The Agency becomes a member of Yerevan Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Year 2001

September

• Mediamax launches its website - www.mediamax.am.

December

• The Agency is awarded the 2nd prize in “Best Analytical Article” nomination in a competition, announced by IREX/ProMedia Armenia.

Year 2000

March

• Agreement signed on cooperation with major “Vremya Novostey” Russian newspaper.

May

• Russian “Izvestiya” newspaper starts regularly using Mediamax materials.

• BBC Monitoring Service becomes the subscriber of Mediamax. Head of BBC Monitoring Service Regional Office Anne Thompson notes: “We especially appreciated the speed, with which Mediamax reported on most important events, taking place in Armenia”.

• Information Office of the Council of Europe becomes the subscriber of Mediamax.

September

• Mediamax initiates issue of a new product - Weekly Review, which soon becomes very popular among foreign embassies and diplomatic missions.

• Embassy of Iran becomes the first foreign diplomatic mission, registering subscription for Mediamax products.

Year 1999

March

• Agency’s team, consisting of 6 people, starts preparatory work: purchases the necessary equipment, develops contacts.

May

• First issue of news in Russian language.

June

• First issue of news in Armenian and English languages.

• Russian “Rossiayskaya Gazeta” publishes the Agency’s article about parliamentary elections in Armenia. This is the first material of Mediamax, published abroad.

• Mediamax acquires the first subscriber – U.S.-Armenian “Hate” joint venture.

• Mediamax Agency’s interview with U.S. political scientist and analyst Paul Goble is published in “Aragon” Yerevan newspaper, the fact becoming a starting point for a series of the agency’s exclusive interviews with foreign political scientists and experts.

July

• Sensational interview with the chief ideologist of Chechen fighters Movlady Udugov to Mediamax Agency. Responses to the interview find their places in numerous Armenian, Russian, Azerbaijani and foreign media.

• Exclusive interview of President of Armenian Robert Kocharian to Mediamax Agency published.

September

• Partnership relations with Georgian “Prime-News” and Azerbaijani “Caspian” and “Bilik Dunyasi” agencies established.

October

• National TV of Armenia becomes the subscriber of Mediamax.

• The Agency fully covered the terrorist attack in the Armenian parliament. Director of the Agency gave live interview to “Here and Now” program, which was broadcasted by major Russian ORT TV-Channel.

• Mediamax Agency’s cooperation with Russian service of “Liberty” Radio Station initiated.
