Yerevan /Mediamax/. Under the President of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan’s decree, Lieutenant General Levon Mnatsakanyan has been appointed the Defence Minister- Commander of Defence Army of Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
Bako Sahakyan has introduced the newly appointed Minister to the NKR Defense Ministry and Defense Army commanders today.
According to Bako Sahakyan, Levon Mnatsakanyan has extensive experience, is one of the “highly reputable, respected generals in the army with in-depth knowledge, who has best demonstrated himself in all the formerly held posts”.
On October 11, 2012- June 15, 2015, Levon Mnatsakanyan has held the post of Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces.
Under another decree signed by Bako Sahakyan a day before, Lieutenant General Movses Hakobyan was relieved of the post of NKR Defense Minister-Commander of Defense Army.
Movses Hakobyan was conferred on “Grigor Lusavorich” order for his exclusive service in Artsakh.
