Yerevan /Mediamax/. Chaired by Judge Mnatsakan Harutyunyan, the Criminal Court of Appeal of Armenia has denied the request by former Armenian president Robert Kocharyan’s defense team to reverse the decision of the court of first instance to extend his arrest.
“I consider this decision to be negative. It is politically motivated, and it was made on someone’s orders. Law means nothing in case of this decision,” said Kocharyan’s lawyer Hayk Alumyan.
Robert Kocharyan was arrested on December 7, 2018.
