Yerevan /Mediamax/. The delegation, led by Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, visited Louvre Abu Dhabi art museum.

The majority of the exhibits were brought from French museums.

Having had a tour at the museum, President’s spouse Nune Sarkissian noted that the architecture and the arrangement of exhibits helps visitors easily explore various time periods.

“If a museum is always crowded, as Louvre in Paris, one cannot capture everything in several hours or a day. This museum features some selected exhibits, which introduce concisely the intentional art, especially during the first visit,” Nune Sarkissian noted.

President Sarkissian also expressed his impressions, saying that it was interesting to look at the exhibits not in terms of periods, but in terms of thematic groups.

“Our culture should also be represented here sooner or later. They know about our beautiful exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, which is important as the collection shows that Armenians in fact presided over the Silk Road at some point. They too look for a good piece of Armenian art probably to display in the section of modern art. ”

Before the Armenian culture reaches Abu Dhabi, Armen Sarkissian presented an album of Armenian manuscripts to the museum and drew in the comments book an image of Mount Ararat with Noah’s Ark on top of it, adding “With love from Armenia” inscription.
