Russian intelligence units learn hand-to-hand combat in Armenia

Yerevan /Mediamax/. A special training began at Kakhmud mountainous tragining ground for intelligence units of the Russian military base stationed in Armenia.

In the course of three days, the hand-to-hand combat instructors will teach more than 100 intelligence officers to counter-attack a conventional rival in close combat and knife fight, base’s press service informes.

 

During the exercise, the servicemen will learn elements of combat acrobatics, boxing and knife fencing.

 

Special attention will be paid to wrestling skills in the training.

 

The intelligence officers will wrap up the hand-to-hand combat and knife fight training with a run through a 150m zone equipped with dummies for practicing elements with or without weapon, which will advance the servicemen’s agility and the skills to respond to the unexpected and use combat weapon against an active rival.
