Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said today that it’s impossible to learn lessons and move forward without pointing out the aggressor.

The President stated this answering the questions of delegates of the second Against the Crime of Genocide Global Forum.

“I received yesterday Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, to whom I presented the position we hold after the situation that resulted from Azerbaijan’s large-scale military actions.

As an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair state, Russia is actively involved in the process of peaceful settlement of NK issue. We have been a responsible participant of that process for years, tried to find solutions acceptable for all sides, and be construcrive. Obviously, the negotiation process was thrown aside by Azerbaijan grossly violating the Ceasefire Agreement of 1994.

We were convinced that the issue can be solved only by compromises, in a peaceful way, but we have a different situation today. Agreements of ceasefire regime and its strengthening were trampled, 5 joint statements of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair states’ – Russia, USA and France – Presidents were ignored, and horrible war crimes were commited. We say today to everyone, point out the aggressor, do it so we can learn lessons and move forward,” said Serzh Sargsyan.
