Yerevan /Mediamax/. First Vice Chairman of the Armenian Republican Party (RPA) Vigen Sargsyan believes that "Pashinyan has to govern and lead the country instead of remaining a ranting opposition politician”.

“Pashinyan has to govern and lead the country instead of remaining a ranting opposition politician. He should form a team responsible for the country out of the army of his supporters, who marked no practical achievement over the years apart from relentlessly criticizing the previous government. By the way, he will be personally and directly responsible for the mistakes, oversights, misconduct and crimes, careless statements, arbitrary meetings, personal qualities, deeds or lack of action of each team member as their leader, as well as for the tenders won by their relatives. He will have to find a delicate balance between supporting his team members on one hand and avoiding the trap of interference on the other,” said Vigen Sargsyan.

“Now is the time to be serious and take responsibility. It might seem easy to blame those who were before you and score points with demonstrative measures based on the complaints against former regime, but it will neither solve the issue of developing the country nor build trust towards the government from the society and international partners. Moreover, it will turn Armenia into a country with unpredictable past and future, where no respected investors or potential repatriates hurry to go. I understand that politician Pashinyan has trained the people to his daily live sessions, but the time for them has gone. Now is the time to work and show results. It is time to move forward, take responsibility, solve the problems, establish ties, work towards profitable pricing of key strategic products of Armenian economy, and strengthen national defense,” said Sargsyan, former Defense Minister of Armenia.
